    Description

WW2 German Heer Artillery Officer visor cap by HPC (Hermann Potthoff of Coesfeld). Quality grey-green wool construction with dark green band, red piping, and black lacquered vulcanfibre visor. Pinned into the peak is a
    zinc wreath and eagle (
    2nd type
    ).
I contacted one of the most famous American sites dealing with WW2 to submit the photos of the article.
All the expert members validated the authenticity and gave an estimate of 800 dollars
    For information :
    Hermann POTTHOFF (HPC) COESFELD frischluft
The HPC visors were characterized by a special closable ventilation system, the so-called “frischluft” (D.R.G.M. 1419757), by means of a variable quantity of front holes with grommets (from 4 to 6). The inner circumference had the “stirndruckfrei” system too.
The HPC patent was surely used by the WILHELM MULLER house of BERLIN-KLADOW.
The color looks like the NVA's stone grey rather than the Third Reich era's field grey (feld grau).
