There's nothing quite as fun as installing
interior door and window crank handles (yea right!). Pushing the handle in while pushing the buffer further against the door panel and the spring underneath it and then installing this little itty-bitty dowel pin is not our idea of a good time. So - when you go through all the trouble to do it - why use some random hardware store dowel pin or a random nail you happen to find in your garage? VW used a beveled dowel pin which allows for an easy install that also is grooved so it doesn't fall out from road vibration no matter how many miles it sees. This kit is a set of 4 of these dowel pins - enough for 4 handles (window crank or interior door handles) however some models / years listed of course (like Buses) will only require 2 so you'll get a few spares in those cases.
Do it once - do it right!
