Original West German M62/85 Helmet

Description

West Germany copied the US M1 helmet design in the late 1950s producing the first new combat helmet since the end of WWII. Designated the M60 and later the M62 with changes to the liner suspension system. These were modernized for use by the Bundeswehr by changing the chinstrap design and adding a plastic neck protector and designated /81 or /85. Original, good condition liner. Size 55-57.
