This is a top quality German WWII repro helmet liner inner spring band. To this band the liner leather is attached and then the band is placed inside the outer band/rim. What you do is attach the liner leather to this band (leather and inner band sizes must match) with the aluminum split pins that I have listed on ebay as well in my ebay store. After that you attach it into an outer band, then you can install the liner inside the helmet shell. I have the is several sizes from 55 to 61. It is very important to know the size of the outer band that the inner band will go into. The outer band corresponds to the size of the helmet shell. Here are the shell sizes and their corresponding hat sizes. A size 60 shell and outer liner rim can take a size 62 and 63inner band and leather. The size 62 shell takes the 54 and 55, The Sz 64 shell takes the 56 and 57. The 66 shell takes the 58 and 59, the 68 takes the 60 and 61, the 70 shell takes the 62 and 63.
