    This is a 24 gauge 8 inch stainless steel weather cap. I label it a weather cap because if you live in Maine like I do, you have more types of weather than rain!! Snow, sleet, hail, etc., will be blocked as well as pesky critters that want to make your chimney a home!! The seams are welded, not riveted for superior strength. This weather cap is stainless steel, 304 grade, with an 18 gauge stainless steel screen so it will never rust. If you are looking for an attractive and sturdy addition to top off your stovepipe, this is it!!  Unless specified, this cap will come crimped to fit into a 8 inch single wall pipe.
